Deathday A Spectral Detective Story

An Introductory short story to The Ghosted series by David Bussell Picture Deathday, by David Bussell, is a story of accidental death, purposeful murder and an accidental discovery. It's brief, snarky and pretty funny too. I believe I may have found my first spectral detective series. #element-91e6f562-68cd-4389-acb5-6cd247106688 .waddons-blog-image.hideImage { display: none;} Picture Picture So Jake Fletcher is dead. What's good about this book is he thought he'd had a decent life. He was married, but barely saw her. He had a job, but it barely paid and had turned into a ghost of himself. Literally!

So when he decides he's not going to stand for simply being dead, he takes off. He leaves the waiting room, where he was to be called in to 'Meet his Maker', and tries his best to find out who killed him. The one he'd suspected was completely innocent. So who wanted him dead?

Deathday may honestly be my newest detective series. Well, my first to own. It's terribly funny and reminds me a lot of Jim Butcher. Oh hey- I did have a detective series after all! LOL I'm a huge lover of the Dresden Files, though they seem to be no more; if you know Jim Butcher, then you will enjoy this introductory story. I've already purchased book one in the series.

It's a paranormal thing, because you meet Jake on the job, as an exorcist of sort. He handles situations where people find the real world colliding with the spectral. When he goes in, he does his best to help them ‘cross over’, but there’s more to the job than he realizes. Redemption is involved, lending purpose to undead life. One of them being Jazz Hands, who I think will pop back up to help out as an uncanny sidekick. "wink wink"

If you enjoy mystery, ghosts and revenge, this is the one. Mostly because, though Jakes comes off as a loser, he's really a nice guy. Check out Deathday, by David Bussell. I'm off to the next read. Cheers!
