Laurie (Kwiltreader) Thanks for the list, Ed. None sound familiar so I'm adding them to my 2012 reading goal.

Toby Is that the Woodrell you'd recommend as a follow up to Winter's Bone? I've only given 5 5* reviews this year but Winter's Bone almost certainly stands out as the finest of them all.

Woodrell's OUTLAW is a short story collection. Some of the stories had the same gritty vibe as Winter's Bone which is his best title I've read. If I had a choice, I'd read one of his early novels like Death of Sweet Mister.
