The manuscript is "in the can" so to speak. I sent it off for formatting yesterday afternoon. Still plenty of work to do, reviewing the formatting for both print and ebooks before they are uploaded, then requesting the proof, waiting for it to ship (I'll have to expedite that,) reviewing and hopefully approving that, then requesting my books for the launch on October 17. But today I am taking care of all those things I had to put off while I worked long hours on the 4th draft, checked continuity one final time and ran the Spellcheck feature before sending it off. All this extra work makes me appreciate the small publishers who continue trying to survive in this ever-changing writing environment. I miss the conveniences.
In my near future? Getting back to the first book in the Ghost Shop series, which is untitled at present and needs relocating to Salem. I will have the freedom to take my characters on cases throughout the Willamette Valley. I'm looking forward to revising the first half of the book, already completed in first draft.
