After the chaos of trying to choose a project, my novel is well in hand, progressing nicely. Fortunately, I spent the past year preparing this story for novelization and all my pre-production work makes the actual composition relatively easy. The story is solid; I just need to supply 180 pages of poetic prose to tell it.
I have five or six novels in various stages of planning but this is the only one ready for composition. My nanowrimo project is entitled “Message in a Bottle,” because it is based on an idea I had while listening to the Police song. It modifies and combines various parts of my life to provide a neat tale of love, betrayal, art, mystery, romance, humor and all things literary. I like it but I don’t really expect anyone else to find it interesting. I like it and that’s good enough for me.
