Musings on a ten-year cancerversary
I recently had a big celebration, (ten-years cancer-free, baby!) and wrote a post that was semi-popular giving the scope on what it really means to be cancer-free (it’s not all gumdrops and roses). I thought I’d share here, in case you’re interested.

Wish I could say that, but after almost twenty years since the diagnosis I still have to deal with the presence of the disease. The knowledge that it exists pops up at peculiar times and places, and creates a seam in my reality. It's important that I am still here, if for no other reason than personal affirmation.

Bless you for holding strong.
