Tracy Marks I just discovered this story - and a lot of articles online about it - and found it to be an absolute delight. I'm developing an online community education course (through Lexington Community Education) for winter 2024 on twenty award-winning sci fi and fantasy stories by women, and so have been reading all such stories I can find online (there are about 40!) looking for the best.

And this is one of the very best. It's also at times laugh-aloud funny. A sheer delight. And it is also one of the few stories to win BOTH the Hugo and Nebula awards for science fiction and fantasy.

You can also find it directly here at Kelly Link's site (Goodreads won't allow me to link)

Hi Tracy. Kelly Link is an inspiring author. I have another of her short stories "Catskin" free to read on my blog.

Take a look at my INDEX tab at the top of my blog page, and you'll find lots of free short stories with links to where the stories are published.

I have over 300 short stories by 150 authors. This compendium might help you. Many of the authors are award-winning. Good luck with your project. Sounds wonderful. Will it be available to the general public?
