Hey, ya'll!!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Alicia Walker as you can see from the name on my profile. I am a new Indie, Self-published author and a stay at home mom from rural Oklahoma.

As a result of residing in small town, America for most of my years; there are not many people that know anything about me or my writing style. My writing style is something I am still discovering myself. All I know is I love it and I am good at it. It is the only thing in my life that has ever felt like a true calling. In fact it feels so right to me that anything else would feel wrong at this point.

Will I ever be a major success or NY Times Best Seller? Who knows. But, the hell if I am not going to try!! I am feisty and dark at times; but laid back and light at others. I love people but I don't want to be around them too much. I am brave but I am scared, I just don't let it get in my way. Dad jokes are my favorite but I make fun of those who tell them (me- I am those). I can laugh at you but I mostly laugh at myself and I do not trust anyone who can only laugh at others.

I am really just a perpetually confused person who is doing her best.

My preferred genres to write at the moment are mystery, suspense and fantasy-based. I am working on a suspense/mystery that has romantic elements but it's not in the "head-over-heels, horse and a carriage" type of way. It's dark and twisted. Stay tuned. Because one way or another, it'll be available for you all to read some day.
