I have an author friend that does something really cool with his books. He accepts short stories from anyone and chooses the best three, which are included in the published version of his book. I would like to try this as well. This will provide exposure to unpublished authors for their work. Just so you know I have just begun work on book 2 of my Surviving The Shenandoah series. That will give everyone plenty of time to submit their stories. If you interested here are the rules for submission:

You must not be a published author. ( If you have a short story in an anthology that’s okay. Just no novels published.)
Submissions must be 5,000 words or less.
Your submissions must be edited and submitted in their final version.
Their will not be any pay for the submissions.
Send all submissions to cmrutherfordauthor@gmail.com with the subject line Short Story Submission.
Not limited to horror any genre is acceptable.
