The unlearning
The most difficult part is unlearning what we’ve learned about relating woman-to-woman. We women have been taught that we are not to be trusted, not to be counted on, and not to be brought in close. We’ve been taught to believe that women are often backstabbing, envious, emotionally unstable and so much more. No wonder we all feel so suspicious and disconnected from one another as women. Perhaps the worst consequence of this belief system is that we end up unable to connect to other women in joy, radiance, and pleasure, like the judgement that goes on between us in life and on social media with the comments. We have learnt If we want connection with other women, we must get it via our mutual victimization. We end up able to communicate only about the negatives in our lives and others. And this in itself is cultural enslavement and why we often feel the need to judge another woman or feel we cannot be enough if another woman is radiant in her life. However women supporting women is our salvation. We must stand for one another in order to become the heroines of our own lives. Women celebrating women becomes a new way of relating. And when you have a community of practice in which to celebrate, we end up inspiring others to take bold action in their lives. Celebrating is, itself, a form of activism on many different levels as finding gratitude. This activism goes beyond the boundaries of feminism as it’s label. It is based not in anger and indignation, but in joy and pleasure. It’s an activism that is undertaken by women, for women. It’s about taking other women higher in order to take ourselves higher. It incorporates spirituality, social justice, radiant turn-on, and reverence for nature. It focuses beyond the individual; it thinks globally. It welcomes women of every religion and every background joining together in feminine connection, inclusion, and spirituality. This revolution is here to take the world to a new level of magnificent. My #wcw is every woman.
