It is my feeling that all humans must create. Whether it's art, building houses, making music, or whatever it may be that allows you to use your mind, body, and spirit. We all must do something that is unique to us. That thing that no one can judge because, like beauty, it depends on perspective. You'll either like it or love it, but you will undeniably feel it's impact.

I've accomplished many things in my life, and of course giving birth is #1 on my list of greatest achievements. But beyond the love you have for children, there's the spirit of self and no one will feel complete without honoring that.

Writing does that for me. It's not only my contribution to the world, it's my release , the one thing that I know that I'm undeniably good at. I say that humbly, knowing full well I have room to grow. With every book I write, it is my hope that my gift is being used to not only inspire others, but to also change the way my readers think in some way. I want to create characters that are horribly flawed, but also beautifully human.

As a child growing up, reading was a great escape for me. It allowed me to escape, but it also allowed my mind to wander. That's why I write, that's what makes a good writer.
