The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

I first read this in the 1960s and this is the first time I have read it as an adult. I am happy to say that I still really enjoyed it. C S Lewis writes very succinctly and in a compelling way. I will probably work my way through the other Narnia books.

The BBC TV version from 1988 was excellent. I might watch the more recent film for comparison sake.

This was the first written of the Narnia books, some people feel that The Magician's Nephew should be read first.
