Kate has four new short stories in the current issue of The Iowa Review (49/3, Winter 2019/20), including “Diamonds,” “I Was Anne Frank” (which the editors kindly published online as a sample from the print issue), “S O N I C Y O U T H,” and “Girls Riding Horses on Cliffs by the Ocean or Sea.” These are from a dream-like story collection in progress, and feature Jewish heroines such as Anne Frank, Barbra Streisand, Fanny Brice, and Anna Pavlova.
