Pershing - New book
Later this year, November 2020, when others might be concentrating on the results of the US Presidential elections, keep a weather eye out for the publication of "Pershing's Lieutenants: American Military Leadership in World War I".
It is another book on the US involvement in WW1 to which I've been able to contribute - and delighted for the opportunity.
It details the history of the officers working for and with the American Expeditionary Forces Commander-in-Chief in WW1, Gen. John Pershing - figures who would not only forge the AEF into a coherent fighting unit, bringing 2 million troops into theatre, but who would shape the United States armed forces during the interwar period and into World War II.
