A bit about me ...

I grew up in the home counties in the 1970's. I trained as a nurse, a midwife and a health visitor in Reading. I moved to Wiltshire in 2005, to escape the Rat Race. I still work for the NHS.

I was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 40, having struggled for many years with the challenges of being undiagnosed, and periods of depression. It was over 10 years ago, during a period of ill health that I came up with the idea for my debut novel. However it took me a further 7 years to have the confidence to write it. Once I got started putting pen to paper, Twisted Thread took only 2 years to write.

Writing has always been a hobby and cathartic experience for me. I only ever wrote short poems or stories, but never thought I would ever write a novel. For that I am very proud. I hope you enjoy reading it, as much as I did writing it.
