My name is Barbara A. Miller. I am a sixty-seven-year-old, wife, mother, and grandmother. I started writing when my children were young. I was feeling the need for adult conversation and discovered romance novels. After voraciously reading hundreds if not thousands of them I started writing for my own enjoyment. I tried sending them to publishers but by that time the market had changed from sweet romances to more sexy ones. I continued to write for myself. Recently my granddaughters have started reading my books which has sparked my interest in considering publication once again. Their enjoyment of reading my stories has also prodded me into finishing a couple of books that I stopped working on when my father died, and my mother came to live with my husband and me. Next summer will mark fifty years of marriage to my husband. Fifty wonderful years of laughter and puns have left their mark on me. There have been tears and arguments but mostly they were filled with a love that sines through in my writing. My first published book, A Promise to Keep, was one of the first novels I wrote and is an enjoyable romp set in the Mackinac area of Michigan. Happy Reading!
