Writing Updates – May 2020

Hello everyone, I’m back again with another writing update.

Well, since my last update at the end of February, the world has entirely changed. Hopefully everyone who reads these updates is keeping themselves safe.

So, since my last update, writing’s taken a pretty big hit with getting used to the lockdown situation the UK is currently in. As such, regrettably, I missed my projection for finishing the first draft of In His Darkened Halls for March. However, now I’m fully adjusted to everything, it’s picking right back up and I’ve got another 2 chapters to write before I move on to the redrafts and edits.

So, providing no further delays, I’m anticipating I’ll be done this month with the first draft.

Currently, the word count stands at 275,000 – so, as I’ve said previously, this is a long one.

Also, in addition to In His Darkened Halls, last week I took the plunge into writing a short story to offer something to my readers since it’s been so long since I last put something out to the public.

The ‘short’ bit didn’t work out, and I’m now also 50% of the way through a novella which I will be publishing later this year
