Death’s Legacy is finished!!
It took a lot longer than I anticipated, but Death’s Legacy, the first book in my new Death Maiden Chronicles series, is finally finished. Just waiting on the book cover to be finalized by my designer, and a few behind the scenes things to be finished, and I will announce the release date.
My husband asked me the other day why I thought it took so long to write, and I wasn’t sure what the answer was until I went back and started writing book 3 of my Keira Blackwater series. A few chapters in and it dawned on me: I wrote Death’s Legacy in third person from the 3 main characters points of view, instead of first person from just Keira’s point of view. First person fits my writing style naturally, like slipping on my favorite old pair of shoes (the ones that are well broke in and molded to my feet). Third person writing for me is like forcing my feet into a new pair of shoes that are still tight and haven’t been broken in yet. I know they fit, they just aren’t as comfortable. I could have written Death’s Legacy in first person, from only Lyra’s point of view, but the story would have been missing something. Having it in third person from Lyra, Jarko, and Crispin’s points of view gave it that extra depth it otherwise wouldn’t have had. I appreciate everyone being patient waiting for it’s release, and hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I’ll let everyone know when it’s official and you can purchase it. Thanks again, and I’ll see you soon!!
