What 1918’s “Forgotten Pandemic” Can Teach Us About Today

I wrote an opinion piece for Vanity Fair based on the research I did for my upcoming novel, THE ORPHAN COLLECTOR. Here's the link:

Sue Very sobering indeed. Let’s all work towards not repeating the death toll of the Spanish flu and follow the guidelines set forth by the medical professionals.

Thanks for taking a look. And yes, I hope we can all work together to avoid history repeating itself.

Marilyn (not getting notifications) Good morning. I won a copy of your new book The Orphan Collector on Bookish first. I even used my points to get it. It was supposed to be sent out in March but then everything happened. I still have not received my copy. Do you have any idea when it is being mailed? I am so looking forward to reading it. Please advise.
Thanks,
Marilyn Kurtis

Hi Marilyn,
I'm so sorry you haven't received your copy of THE ORPHAN COLLECTOR yet! As far as I know, BookishFirst updated the giveaway to let everyone know the mailings would be delayed significantly. But I heard from my publisher that they did manage to get copies sent to half of the BookishFirst recipients last week and expect the remaining half to go out this week.

So hopefully you will be getting your copy soon! Thank you so much for entering. I can't wait to hear what you think of THE ORPHAN COLLECTOR!!
All the best,
Ellen

Marilyn (not getting notifications) Thanks for replying so quickly. I will definitely write a review after I finish The Orphan Collector. I love your books so I am confident that I will like this one as well. Can’t wait to read it?
Thanks,
Marilyn

Hi Marilyn, I just checked with my publicist and she said all books have been mailed. But she will check the list to make sure yours was sent out too. I just need your last name. Can you PM me? Thanks!
