If you clicked on this title expecting a juicy, highly erotic post fit for Penthouse Forum, sorry to disappoint. But no, this is about my current novel.

My first.

A Speculative Sci-Fi Thriller I challenged myself to finish during NaNoWriMo 2012. While other NaNo's (if that's what we're called) are trying to write 50,000 word novels, my goal less than 10,000 - only 4 chapters and an Epilogue. But they are to be GOOD chapters, damn it!

Today, I finished the first of The Final Four chapters! Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!

Stop!

You hear that?

 Is that a holy choir of angels singing??

 Oh, hold up, it's just Queen playing on my Spotify. My bad.

 As you can see, writing all day, on only 4 cups of coffee and a glass of wine can make one a little giddy. But it was such an thrilling write!

 You know how when you read a really good book and you are so engaged with the dialog and the action and the wondering about what happens next that you have to restrain yourself from skipping whole paragraphs to get to the end.

 Yeah?

 Well, that's how writing was for me today. Amazing! Exhilarating! A Rush of Blood to the Head. (Playing on Spotify right now. Coldplay. No lie.)

Some days are torture. I slog through words and letters that only let me down, pausing to watch my goldfish eat because he is more interesting.

 But today it was hot! I was on fire! I couldn't type the words fast enough. I was holding my breath AND panting--gyrating in my chair and making my toes pop.

 I am so stoked right now--I may have to pull an all-nighter. I just may have another one in me.

 But first, a cigarette. 

And some food.

Then we'll see. 

I may just crash.

 Tomorrow is another day, after all, and The Climax continues in chapter 42. Maybe my hero will show up!
