It feels like I've been writing this book forever, but this is the story I've always wanted to write. Back when I was writing Just a Bit Twisted, I wanted to set it in a fantasy world, but then I decided that it would be too weird and no one would read it. Six years later, I finally wrote that story I've always wanted. Prince's Master is kind of self-indulgent, to be honest. It has my favorite things and tropes: fantasy setting, mentor/student relationship with some power imbalance, and a cold, reserved anti-hero who learns to care and love, against his better judgment.
