Mike Mallowe’s Back Story

Mallowe is the founding editor of Main Line Today, a thriving regional magazine serving the Main Line and western suburbs of Philadelphia. His initial vision and leadership made the magazine an early candidate for the General Excellence prize, in its circulation category, bestowed annually by the National Magazine Awards selection committee.
He has won many national awards as an investigative reporter and public policy writer. As the senior editor of Philadelphia magazine, Mallowe has been recognized several times by the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Press Club and Women in Communications, among others. He helped establish city and regional magazines as an important category in American journalism. His work appears regularly in print and online; his byline has a national audience and his name implies instant credibility.
Mallowe has also been a senior editor at Business Philadelphia, editorial director of PJM and a correspondent for Life, Rolling Stone, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, China Daily, USA and Reader's Digest, along with other national publications.

Mallowe has received numerous faculty appointments in journalism and communications from Penn State University, Saint Joseph's University and other institutions of higher learning. He developed the Masters Program in English and Publishing at Rosemont College, PA.
He is also a published author with titles in fiction and non-fiction, hard back and paper. He currently writes, teaches and serves as a communications consultant.
