Forests and trees.

The more I find myself the less I feel like I belong, confined by what others have come to expect, oppressed by their fear of deviation from the norm. The more I try to connect the more disconnected, alien I feel. Where is the ‘me’ shaped hole? There is a bottomless pit inside me, no matter how much I pour into it I can’t see it even beginning to fill in. Am I leaking somewhere? Am I just drowning in possibility? I’ve lost my anchor somewhere along the way. The beast that resides in my heart has become restless again, disappointed. I’m breaking our pact and losing my way. I need to find the resolve I had when I made my escape, stoke the embers and breathe life back into the flame. Shake myself free of this moss that took advantage of my indolence. Once again I steel myself as I journey within to parley with the Shadows.
