Excerpt from Apprenticed to Pleasure

I should mention that a long excerpt from Apprenticed to Pleasure is available at the Dreamspinner Press website. It should give you a fairly good idea of the novel's flavor. Just go to the "Read an Excerpt" line and click on the triangle next to "Expand."

Apprenticed to Pleasure (Pledged to Magic, #1) by Brandon Fox
IMO Apprenticed to Pleasure is only equaled by your magnificent science fiction adventure The Finder as the best gay romance SciFi novel written. I know you credit the writing of Jim Grimsley as an influence on your work, however I believe your books exceed his remarkable sagas. Your immense talent has produced unparalleled stories which are the pinnacle for the genre. I am anxiously awaiting April 13, 2012 for the release of the newly revised edition of Conjuring the Flesh the second book in the trilogy. I already know my favorite book of 2012 will be the sequel to The Finder.

Brandon Fox Thanks, Lucas! It's great to know there's interest in adventure-oriented gay romance SciFi. It give me the encouragement I need to keep writing.

I'm working on the sequel to The Finder, though progress has been delayed by extensive revisions to the Ander/Thane trilogy. I think it's worth it, though. The new editions are much better (Conjuring the Flesh even got a new opening chapter), and it will be great to have them available in ebook format. Not to mention excellent new covers by Catt Ford.

I don't know if you've read it yet, but you might enjoy the web comic Artifice. Very well done, probably the best gay romance SciFi comic I've seen. There are apparently a few pages still to come (it's a WIP), but most of the story (87 pages) is already posted. It might be the kind of work you'd enjoy.

Thanks again for your interest in Apprenticed to Pleasure and The Finder. I hope you'll like Conjuring the Flesh just as much.
