It is Friday August 28, 2020 and I just had my first shower since Monday due to the surgical wound on my back. Feeling good after a shower but just have bandaged it again and every time I move, the tape pulls at my skin. Other than that, I am doing well.
I sold another book today which brings the total to twelve with fifty books given away on Goodreads. I am starting another give-away today and it should go through until next Friday. I will be giving away 100 books this time. I hope you are able to receive a free book. If not I encourage you to buy one, either paperback or Kindle. I am retired and this is my only income at this time, so please buy one today.
I started cooking at a very young age and cooked professionally in my younger days. I still like to cook and see the faces of people I serve them. It is instant feedback when sitting at a table of friends and hear the conversations dry up as they are eating. Seeing their faces I can tell they enjoy the meal. Even in restaurant when I rarely saw the customer, there was feedback by them leaving happy and leaving a tip for the server. Sometimes the servers would bring compliments back to us. It did makes us feel good about our work.
I started my writing career earlier this year and it is scary and lonely because the only feedback I have is from friends and relatives. I do believe they are sincere, but they love me and might see the stories through rose colored glasses. It would do my heart wonders to hear a review from a stranger about my book. The Nonentity has been out for a month now and the sequel is in cover design as I put the final read on it. The sequel is Dannie, The Genuine Daughter. She has similar attributes to the unnamed flying man with several powers different or stronger than his. Although, she is black and he is white, they consider each other as father and daughter. This book might be ready for October but look for it on November 1, 2020.
