Mark Rogers Spiritually, yes! Materially, He has promised to meet our needs. The great error of the likes of Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Joel Osteen, Brian Houston, etc, etc, etc,..... Is that they often take Bible promises that were meant for Israel and apply them directly to themselves.

Louis Lapides Totally agree. Matthew 6:25-34 Jesus makes it clear God will provide for our basic material needs. Our responsibility is to trust His provision and put His priorities utmost.

Great comment about applying OT passages meant for Israel but applying them as if they now apply to Christians. These OT passages teach us about God’s character, but we are still accountable for how we understand and interpret God’s word lest we make the scriptures a pick and choose resource for our favorite passages that bolster our secular world view on material prosperity.

We’re on the same page brother. I was in this corrupt movement for quite some time until I fell under deep conviction about its erroneous doctrine. Blessings to you in the Lord Jesus Christ.
