The Wreck

I am so thrilled that The Wreck is out in the world. This story means a lot to me - I love writing about female leadership in an historical setting, and people who soar above their circumstances. And of course, there's the ocean .... for me, always the ocean. I hope everyone is keeping well in these crazy times. Meg x

Tony O Neill HI Meg
is The Wreck available in hardback? and The Unmourned, The Power Game and The Ink Stain also?
I really prefer a book as a hardback sample as I feel its a real precious piece that includes not only the fiction but the design of the artwork etc?
I live in the UK and I am looking
Kind Regards
Anthony O' Neill

Hi Anthony

I agree, I love hardbacks too. They seem to be fading from the publishing landscape though. The old dichotomy of a hardback release followed by a paperback is less common than it was. The Wreck is in paperback in Australia, and I believe it will be in the UK when it's released there in October. I don't have a US release date but I'll make sure to let you know when I hear, as that market seems more likely to publish in hardback (Fled was paperback in Aus/UK and hardback in US). As far as the Monsarrat books, there was an original hardback for the first in the series, The Soldier's Curse, but the others are all paperback. Sorry I can't be more help! All the best Meg

Tony O Neill Hi Meg thanks very much for detailed answer, have found Fled online in the US in hardback which is cool. I have a new copy of the Soldiers Curse and the artwork is excellent so its disappointing to find out others in series are in paperback but never mind not the end of the world. My god what is it like being the daughter of a literary genius? Confederates, Schindlers List, The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith amazing.

Glad you were able to find the hardbacks! And he's a great dad, I had a boringly happy childhood :-)
