The Whitney Forbes Series wrestles with the importance of love, time and how watches reveal a special importance in the lives of our characters. Little did we know, a luxury watch brand, Jaeger-Lecoultre, also plays a critical role in author Carolyn Fitzpatrick Fruzzetti’s life. Her grandparents, Doris and Vincent, met while working for the watch company in New York City and were married in 1946. Carolyn did not know this until she received a recent family email in honor of what would have been Doris’ 99th birthday on September 4th. Sadly, Doris’ time with her family was tragically cut short when she passed away at only age 50 of cancer but she left a legacy of seven children and a life of love and laughter that is still celebrated today. We wanted to post a tribute to someone who made the most of her time and commend the impact she made as her memory lives on across the decades. Truly an inspiration and an amazing accomplishment!
