I'm toying with the idea of unpublishing my novel on Smashwords in order to go exclusive on Amazon KDP. I'd also be interested in hearing about other authors' experiences of KDP. One of my friends (a sci-fi author here in Scotland) took his books off Smashwords in order to join KDP; since then, he has experienced an upsurge in sales. His average Amazon sales (for each book) have gone from four per week to four per day.

I've only been in it about 2wks now, and my sales have gone up so far. On Wednesday and Thursday (8th and 9th)I'm making my book FREE (so get a copy) so hopefully that'll make sales go up even more. Luky http://amzn.to/Bengali-Girls-Dont
You've convinced me. I'll do KDP and let you know my experience of it after a couple of weeks.Just bought your e-book from Amazon UK. It had been on my to-read list for a while. It'll be a few weeks before I get around to reading it, as I've a backlog of books to read and review for Amazon Vine. I'll review yours on goodreads/Amazon UK/Amazon US once I've read it. Sounds like a fascinating story.
Oh, thanks! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it. :) LukyOh, and what's the link to you book on Amazon?
