Checking in!

Well, hello again! I forgot I had a blog here. Since it's still up, I thought I'd check in and say hello to everyone.

I've become progressively sicker, and sadly it means I have very few "good days" when I can write. And it's more like a "good hour" here or there. Having said that, there are a few things I can share with you:

1. My story "My Own Label," which originally appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Preteens: 101 Stories of Inspiration and Support for Tweens in 2013, is scheduled to be reprinted for the new Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Preteens. This book is formatted for preteens, with quiz questions to answer. Best of all, the book's royalties will be donated to Kids in Crisis, a non-profit which provides assistance to kids and families in crisis situations and has a 24-hour hotline for those in need of immediate help.

2. I have stories in a two other CSS books that have come out over the past few years:
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Dreams and the Unexplainable: 101 Eye-Opening Stories about Premonitions and Miracles and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Miracles and More: 101 Stories of Angels, Divine Intervention, Answered Prayers and Messages from Heaven. In the latter, the "miracle" I discuss is meeting Mark Hamill - Luke Skywalker from Star Wars and the voice of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series - after I'd wished for it as a graduation gift.

3. I was able to write about my experiences with chronic illness in the Saturday Evening Post: https://www.saturdayeveningpost.com/2...
