Giveaway
My debut novel, Identical Genius, is available via a promotional giveaway. Please make sure to enter.
The novel, the first of the Genius series, follows identical twin girls, as they come of age, find love with truly good men, start their careers and get sidetracked by an evil professor. The book is a love story. A romance. But, it also incorporates elements of adventure and a theme of the discovery of what truly matters in life.
It has been asserted that the Clint Eastwood movie, In the Line of Fire, inspired countless recruits for the Secret Service. Those recruits watched the movie and it led them to dream about the career. Such is the power of fiction. It wasn't the glory of filling out bureaucratic paperwork, which no doubt is closer to the real life of an agent, that drew them in. It was the excitement and glory of the fictional story; that's how young minds work.
Too few girls seek careers in computer technology. Fewer still follow in the footprints of Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos. Perhaps the story in this book, which places attractive young girls in an exciting adventure story that includes them building an information technology company while finding love with worthy young men, can boost the attractiveness of a career in information technology to girls and young women. Learn to code? Boring. Build a company, match wits with an evil genius, fall in love with handsome and honorable young men. Maybe that's a better hook.
Mostly, though, the book was written as an escape. We all need to escape our reality sometimes. To enter the exciting and boundless fantasy of a good book. Especially this year! My fondest hope is that this story engages you and takes you on a diversionary escape from your troubles. I truly hope that you find it a worthy investment of your time. - Tom
