The Afterglow
I recently self-published my book: "Tablecloth Nights, a Memoir," and I am thrilled to see it in print and receive so many positive notes from folks who like it very much and give me such heartwarming accolades. At the same time, it is noted that some of the story can be sad, heartbreaking, even shocking at times.
That's okay. We all know that life is never a calm river flowing; it has it's rough spots, it's treacherous waters, it's curves and blind spots that we have to navigate.
That being said, it's can be tough to hear some surprising reactions from a few readers. I am learning to understand that everyone has an opinion, and I may not like all of them. It's okay. We oftentimes take from books what we know, and anything outside that realm may not be understood or accepted. I am always pleased when a reader takes the time to jot down a note on how they felt about the book. Of course, the words "a real page turner" are my favorites! See you next time. Be well, Fern
