This is my favorite time of the year for many reasons. I love the weather even though it tends to fluctuate wildly here in Michigan. I love the scents of fall – of apple cider with a cinnamon stick in it and pumpkin spice. I love the colors as the leaves change from green to yellows, oranges and reds. I love Halloween, too, and not just because of it’s my birthday. As I get older, I still love it despite it being my birthday. I love the costumes and the parties and the fun of dressing up for kids and adults. I’m especially excited about this October because the first book in my new romantic suspense series with Kensington/Zebra will be released on October 27th. The Runaway, the first book in the Bane Island Mystery series, is the perfect complement to the season with its creepy setting, atmosphere and characters.
