Werner "Sir Edmund Orme" is one of my favorites among James' ghost stories! In my opinion, where his short fiction is concerned, the ghost stories are his best work.

Werner, I agree his short fiction is extraordinary. He's one of my favorites now. During my school years I had difficulty reading him. I think it takes a slower reading pace to really enjoy his work.
