My new novel in the Somerset Murder Series, WITCH FIRE ON THE LEVELS, has just been published by Joffe Books (27 October 2020) I hope you enjoy reading it - especially as it is out just before Hallowe'en. It's available as a Kindle or paperback version.

On a more general note, occasionally I get taken to task when my character, Sergeant Kate, goes off the rails or has a go at husband, Hayden. There are those who say she is a bit wacky. Well, maybe she is, but it's all part of the mix, folks, and not to be taken too seriously. I write thrillers, not police procedurals and, despite my own 30 years in the job, I sometimes adopt a little bit of poetic licence with regard to procedures and characters to meet the demands of the plot. After all, the idea is to (hopefully) entertain, not bore the pants off you. Wouldn't you agree?
