Each man is accustomed to being in charge in kissing situations with women, and neither can figure out where to put their hands or who tilts their head. When it becomes clear they will have to go much farther than that for Gray to prove to his father they are not compatible, the scene of the two men fumbling through their first m/m sexual encounter is hysterical, yet also quite poignant, as is much of this story.
