We've all read books that have made us laugh, cry and taken us on a rollercoaster of feelings. So we know that story can evoke emotions. But what I found in my writing process is that emotions can evoke story. If I'm feeling emotional and I'm not sure why, I sit down and write. I'm usually surprised at the stories that emerge. Some of my best writing happens when I'm feeling emotional. So I think that not only stories can evoke emotions but emotions can evoke stories. Just like ice melts into water and water freezes into ice.
