When I wrote a specific poem about a family member that family member had an addiction and at that time chose that addiction over supporting their family. I think that would upset any teenager and being a writer I chose to write about it although I didn't put in the poem it was about addiction. I feel that is a need to know basis and those that are close to me and know my family know the whole story. That family member is now clean and I respect and love him very much.
