As we've been building the website, Marty and I have gone through many of our old Strange Matter and Strange Forces files. We've found all kinds of stuff we forgot about, and lots of things we believed lost to the ages. So – we'll just periodically post some of this old material until we run out of it. It may take a while.
What we have here is . . .
A standee design featuring The Collector and his many minions from the Strange Forces series.
This standee was created for the 1996 American Booksellers Association show in Chicago. It was our first and only time at the show, and Strange Forces had just been released. We promoted it there as well as the rest of the available Strange Matter line.
Things I remember from that show -
1. Being amazed at how some company squeezed the entire Forrest Gump movie on a CD-sized "video disc" that you could played in your computer.
2. Being approached by a couple of members of a new company named "Amazon". They were gonna sell books, those guys.
3. Meeting
R.L. Stine
, and being told Marty and I do "good work". Very Cool.
I know we have plenty more materials from this show filling up a CD somewhere amidst the archives. I'll post more as we catalog The Vault of The Strange . . .
