Goodbye 2020

I was going to write something really deep and insightful for the end of this year, but I think that everything that needs to be said about 2020 has been said. It's definitely been a learning experience for us all. One that has brought both good and bad days, weeks, and months. There are lessons that we have learned, some we wished we hadn't had to go through; but hopefully, somewhere in the middle, I hope we can find gratitude, for something.

I know for me the downtime was pleasant if only for the first couple of months. Not having to have to be anywhere, or feel like I was missing out was nice. I enjoyed doing things I haven't done in ages, played weekly card games via Zoom, did several jigsaw puzzles, took naps, read many more books that I would not have otherwise, and perhaps watched more TV than I ever want to watch again (I think there is a permanent dent in one cushion of my sofa to prove that). But being a very social person, the isolation and lack of activity became monotonous and boring. Staying at home no longer desirable; biking, rowing, and walking Aimee just wasn't enough. I desired interaction again with people. I did do a couple of socially distanced lunches and met with a few friends on the beach a time or two, but I am anxious to return to some type of normalcy, as we all are, and hope and pray that in 2021 the world can move forward safely.

So on that note ... Cioa, Adios, Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen 2020!

I'm ready to move on into a more whimsical year in 2021 and hopeful that it will be better. On that note, I decided to look up my 2021 horoscope, even if it only brings a smile to my face and some hope in my heart for a day or week or two, I'll take it.

Bon voyage, Libra! No, really. The North Node in Gemini all year is opening up borders throughout the year—even if those borders are mental rather than physical. Spend the next 12 months exploring, discovering, learning, and sharing your wisdom, while keeping safety measures in mind, of course. Jupiter and Saturn in your Aquarius-ruled confidence zone help you separate your worth from your circumstances and find greater self-esteem. Whatever happens, you’re worthy of love, joy, and success! You’re ready to glow up with Jupiter in your Pisces-ruled personal development zone this spring/summer, motivating you to work on your wellness. The South Node will move through your cognition and communication zone all year, helping you tell the difference between compassionate straight talk and people-pleasing fluff. If anyone can speak the truth kindly and respectfully, it's you, Libra—so do it!
Your Relationship Status
2020 was a complicated year in your love life, even if you weren't trying to date people over Zoom. But 2021 is looking so much brighter (and it's not because of your phone screen). The Venus Star Point in Aries on March 26 will start a whole new cycle in your love life. Passions will be ignited (*wiggles eyebrows*) as you embark on an adventure in romance. Love will be all-encompassing—but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Your Career
The cosmos is granting you a dose of genius this year! With Jupiter influencing your creativity and work all year, you'll be filled with fantastic ideas—and Saturn in Aquarius is giving you the practical focus you need to take those thoughts and actually make them a reality. You also can become a thought leader in your industry or teach others your expertise—think TED Talk.
