What’s Happening in 2021
Aren’t we all glad to have 2020 behind us? It wasn’t a horrible year for me writing wise. I published Boy of the Week not only on Kindle and paperback, but as an audiobook as well. My first ever. I wrote three drafts of Sydney’s Last Night which I had written draft one during 2019 nanowrimo. The story is getting close to the finish line. It is out with beta readers and after I make some suggested changes, it will be off with the editor. Soon after that, it will be ready to publish. I also have another book that will be almost right behind it. With very little needing done to it as well, just a few more steps than Sydney’s Last Night. My goal is to have SLN finished and published by April. If I can do it sooner, that will be great.
I pushed the publish button for the audio version to A Homecoming to Forget yesterday, waiting on audible approval, but it should be out in the next thirty days or so.
I read 128 books in 2020, this is not including the books I beta read for critique partners. In 2021, I’m actually going to try to make that number lower. It was an accomplishment, but I need to be writing more. My writing goal is to publish three books total this year. The most I’ve done is two in one year. But I think if I cut back on the reading a little bit, I can fit more writing time into my schedule and crush this goal.
A little more about Sydney’s Last Night:
Sydney’s Last Night is a mystery about a girl who was killed. The police ruled it an accident despite not looking like one. In Sydney’s Last Night we follow Sydney’s younger sister, Pierce three years after the incident. Her only surviving relative is her aunt, who is determined to find out what really happened to Sydney.
