In my debut novel "Finding Phoebe, Crossing Worlds" there was a key concept I wished to portray. I love reading fantasy novels set in other worlds however the concept I have introduced is of Earth being the fantasy world, and a part of the story is regarding a quest in the land of Calypso to reach the mythical land of Great Britain. Furthermore, I have shown influences of artefacts and culture from Great Britain pervading this mythical world.
I will expand on this later in the trilogy, such as the influence of electricity in a world which has never been introduced to such modern science.
