I know not many authors like Goodreads, I'd been warned to stay away, but my books are here, whether I want it or not, so I decided to create and maintain my author account here as well. I've been on Goodreads for years now, and so far only had a few negative experiences, nothing too horrible, not enough to turn me away from the platform.
So far, the positive has been overweighing the negative for me: I have my one and only blog on Goodreads, I've seen new readers discover my books, I make sure all info about my books is timely and accurate, and I've had amazing support from GR librarians. ❤
Now, if the sh$t described in this article ever happens to me, I'm warning the scammers right now, I WON'T PAY YOU A DIME. Don't even bother. I'd change all my book descriptions to include this link, I'd delete all info from my author account, and I'd never "step my foot" on GR again. So, dear a$$hole scammers, don't even bother to touch my books. I have no money to pay you and no energy to deal with you.
