I Remember You
There’s a piercing pain in me
Whenever I remember you
Bittersweet feelings, overwhelming emotions
They make me feel so alive
But our mind is fickle
Our heart is a trouble
So I put you on paper
To always remember
With you, my days and dreams came together
Creating moments so perfect
That I could spend my eternity in them
But how can I fight fate?
The clouds moved away with parts of us
The nights claimed chunks of us
Most of us fell in your farewell
A part of us weathered the time
Whatever’s left is here with me now
And I’m so glad to be holding it at all
I’m so happy to have had you
I wish to only relive you
Without wearing you out
Without tearing me apart
So I’m shaping and storing us
Make your presence a part of me
With a hope to turn to us
And lose myself in it again
For when my imagination is not enough
Our memories may rescue me
When its something so beautiful
Our creation is no longer ours
We made this masterpiece
Anyone can find a place in it
The summer we spent together so ancient
Even the stones were tired of the trodding feet
Perhaps it vaporized our tears into the air
So we are always in the world carrying us all
May it bring a few words of mine to you one day
So you can reach out to caress our past
See flashes of me that escape my grave in you
Along with the sighs, they can make you a smile
I liked the me when I was with you
I loved the you that stayed with me
Together we were happy
Forever we’ll have that
If not in life
Sometimes in my song
With it, I’m singing
I remember you
