Why I Write What I Write

I'll make this short.

I am very much a pantser. Often, I have a vague concept of how I think or want the stories in my head to go. But my characters--who come to me as full-fledged strangers like: "Hi. My name is Carl and, just so you know, I'm calling the shots. Not you--tend to take over the pen, so to speak, by acting however they damn well please in response to or in expectation of what is happening/might happen in the milieu around them.

Period.

That's it.

That's my "process," to use the word loosely.

Glad we had this talk.

Until next time. Bye.
