Spy pixels

Did you know that many emails sent to users’ personal accounts contain a ‘spy pixel’ that can be used to log if and when an email is opened, how many times it is opened, what device or devices are involved and the user's rough physical location. These pixels are tiny and can be invisible to the naked eye. Scary! See the following link to a BBC article on the subject:
