My first box of paperback copies of Child of the Scales has arrived!

I love my electronic media, but holding a copy of my own book in my hands feels so good. First Edition, warts and all, this is an achievement I've been anticipating since I was a college student writing that book that never was completed. Typing away on my roommate's electric typewriter until she needed it for a paper (what? Actual homework?? Silly, Pat!)

Someday, I said to myself. Someday I'll be an author. There will be books with my name on them.

Today, it's true.
