Hi everyone – time for an official update. But first, thanks so much for the support and many notes since the release of Kings of Heaven. The end of the series was for me a six year journey in the concluding, and I’m glad the story has stuck with many of you in the same way.

Writing Update

As one story ends, another begins. You may have noticed there’s a lot of unknowns in the Ash and Sand universe. Well, in my mind, there was always more story to tell, and I am now nearly finished another book in the same world, tentatively titles Dark Sea’s End. It does not require that you’ve read Ash and Sand, but it will certainly bring additional enjoyment if you have. The book will be released in ebook/paperback around May/June of this year! I’ll let you know when there’s a firmer release, and give a few more details before that.

Dark Sea’s End brings back a couple favorite characters, and introduces a few new ones. It takes place nearly at the immediate end of Kings of Heaven, and is directly related to Ruka’s final plans at the monastery…I’ll leave it there.

I have a new place to connect

I’ve started a new place for you to support or interact with me, at a place called Locals. It’s a bit like Patreon, if you’ve heard of that, and I have a variety of plans for it. Going forward, I’ll be posting videos there reviewing my favorite books, chatting with other authors (and bloggers), or just recommending books/tv/music/nonsense. Sometimes, I’ll probably just rant. I’ll also be posting early samples of my work, stopping by to chat, and just interacting more frequently with anyone so inclined. The first TWO chapters of Dark Sea’s End are available there, right now, for subscribers…
