Do you talk to your pets? I do, and I answer myself in what I think of as their voice. No, I don’t speak in a different sounding voice. I just say what I think of as their response out loud. For example, Me; “Here’s your treat.” My dog takes it and walks to her doggie door, and then looks back at me. Biscuit: “It’s cold out, Mum. I’m going to eat it over here on my pillow instead.” Walks over to her pillow and settles down with her treat. Me: “Okay, B. I have to go back to work.”  Biscuit munches away and wags her tail once. I have convinced myself she understands me, and I have responded as she would have if she could talk. Does anyone else do this? No? Just me? Okay, sorry for the interruption. Carry on with what you were doing.
