Do you recall the part in my book where a stranger did a heroic thing? He decided to run my way as the tsunami hit Phi Phi Island.

He could have continued toward safety. Toward the main building ahead of him.

Instead, he turned to me, to the huge wall of ocean coming toward us.

Such bravery. Such courage.

We ended up together in deep water and total darkness beneath ground.

Both badly injured.

I have been thinking about him often...
