Writing Update
I have some exciting new projects in the works. It’s been two weeks since Campnanowrimo. As most of you may know, I always try to participate in Nanowrimo events in November, April, and July. For those of you who don’t know, Nanowrimo is a site and a challenge where one is challenged to write a book in a month. There are different goals that can be made for each individual, but I always go for the 50,000 words in 30 days.
In April I wrote a YA romantic suspense about a girl who is being stalked by her ex-boyfriend. I am excited to get to draft two and lots of ideas on how I’m going to improve on it already. The working title is Obsessed, but that may change as it comes together more in later drafts.
Once I finished with Obsessed’s rough draft I began to look at my Nanowrimo project from November. This one is more of a drama. It follows a group of 20 somethings that were best friends in high school and have just recently reunited, however each one of them has a major secret. With this particular story I have decided that it would be best for the new Vella platform on Amazon. Vella is a serial fiction app and will be launched in July. The first three chapters will be free then after that the reader can pay to read each chapter. I already have the first two chapters ready to go and hope to have several available before the launch of this app.
On to audiobooks, A Homecoming to Forget had a couple issues with the audiobook and my producer had to go back and fix it, we’re in the process of making those changes now and hopefully that will be available soon. The audiobook of Sydney’s Last Night is also in production.
In addition to the project mentioned above, I have another YA hate-to-love romance that may only need one more draft before I’m ready for the editing process. I hope to get this one out later this year.
There are so many exciting things happening with my writing this year and I cannot wait to share it all with you.
